Mission Statement

Officers of the Kingsford Public Safety Department work to serve the people of Kingsford. Their mission is to safeguard the lives and property of all citizens. Officers diligently and courteously carry out their duties and responsibilities in order to improve the quality of life for the people in our community.

Officers work persistently to solve crimes committed within the city while holding offenders responsible for their actions. Public Safety Officers enforce the laws fairly and without prejudice. Officers work tirelessly to extinguish fires, protect exposures and preserve valued property. The prevention of crime and fires are a high priority within the department.

The city will strive to hire officers who have high values, integrity, loyalty, and compassion, officers who take pride in themselves, the department and their community.
